年畫(huà)

　　New Year’s painting is a kind of traditional Chinese paintings produced bymeans of woodcut process printing. Asan old form of folk art in China, thiskind of paintings all has festival themes and a sharp contrast in colors (年畫(huà)是中國(guó)畫(huà)的一種， 它采用木刻套印的方法作畫(huà)，內(nèi)容喜慶、色彩對(duì)比強(qiáng)烈，是中國(guó)古老的民間美術(shù)形式).Theyare specially created for decoration of homes, warding off evil spirits andominous occurrences in the celebration of the Chinese New Year (它是專門為過(guò)農(nóng)歷新年時(shí)裝飾環(huán)境、除兇辟邪而創(chuàng)作的). That is whythey are called New Year’s paintings.
